What is a Project on Kalido?
On Kalido you can define a piece of work as a Project, whether it’s short-term or a complex piece of work that spans years. This means that you can staff Projects quickly and more effectively.
What is an Official Project?
Projects can be Official or Unofficial. An Official Project is owned by the Network. You can see all the Roles assigned to it and CVs associated with it. In other words, you have a detailed, comprehensive overview of each Project. It can have Find People For Project Quests, and can be billable or non-billable. You can also start a Find People For Project Quest from inside the Project itself if you need to build a Project team. If the user leaves the Network that owns the Project, they will lose access to it.
What is an Unofficial Project?
An Unofficial Project is owned by the user. It can't have Quests and they're non-billable. A user does not lose access to their Unofficial Projects when they leave a Network.
Can I convert an Unofficial Project into an Official Project?
Yes, you can convert an Unofficial Project to an Official Project at any time. This can be particularly useful for smaller companies: your employees can create a repository of Unofficial Projects which you can later convert to Official Projects as your company grows. Please note that ownership and data privacy switches from Network to user at the point you convert a Project to being either Official or Unofficial, and vice versa.
How can I tag a Project with my Skills?
You can tag Projects with your Skills to give a fuller picture of your experience and increase your Kalido Rating, helping you to match and rank higher for more great Opportunities. Visit the My CV tab, select a Project, click to edit and tag each relevant Skill.
