What is a Position?
A Position refers to an official job title within an organisation. It can have a description, a Band and Skills associated with it.
What is an Official Position?
Official Positions are managed by people in an organisation with the relevant Network Permissions. They are used to keep a record of how the organisation thinks about its Skill groups and the people within them.
How do I add a Position to a Network?
To add a Position to a Network:
- Visit the Networks tab and click on the Positions tab.
- This is where you can manage all the employee Positions for Network members to select when filling out forms related to Positions (on Projects, Work History, Quests etc).
Can I add Positions to Quests?
Find People for Projects Quests can have a Position associated with them. If a Find People for Projects Quest specifies a Position, Kalido will automatically suggest all the Skills associated with the Position as required Skills for the Quest. This will make staffing Projects faster and more effective.
What is an Unofficial Position?
Unofficial Positions are unmanaged. Any user can add them to their Work History. This allows flexibility for people like alumni who had job titles that are no longer in use or recognised by a company.
