Why can’t I access Kalido?
If you’re having trouble loading Kalido after hitting ‘Join’, it could be due to one of the following reasons.
You may have a screen that looks like this:
Or this:
If so, these questions and answers may help you.
Are you using a device that’s owned by a different company to the Kalido Network that you’re trying to join?
If you are, it might be that Kalido has not been cleared by your device’s network or firewall. To check, please try to join Kalido on a personal device or a personal network. If you’ve been able to join successfully, please contact your IT Services to get Kalido unblocked from your work device.
You can ask your IT team to check the following:
- Ensure that access to www.kalido.me is unrestricted (including all subdomains, such as web.kalido.me).
- Ensure that deep packet inspection (DPI) is excluding this domain from analysis. Kalido uses gRPC, and DPI tools usually block communication across bidirectional streams that need to stay open, breaking functionality.
- Note that only port 443 (for HTTPS) needs to be open.
Are you using a VPN?
If you are using a VPN, it may have blocked access to Kalido. Please disconnect your VPN and try again.
Have you tried clearing your cache?
Clearing your cache or a hard refresh may help you gain access to Kalido.
Are you trying to join Kalido from the UAE?
The UAE government network blocks various URLs from being accessed within the country, including Kalido. Access can be completely unavailable or intermittent. We’re working to get this situation changed, but in the meantime, please try using a VPN to access Kalido through another jurisdiction.
