What’s the difference between a Chat, a Group Chat, and a Channel?
A Chat involves direct messaging between you and another Kalido user.
A Group Chat involves direct messaging between you and two or more Kalido users. It is owned by its participants. While a Channel can only have members from a Network, a Group Chat can have members from multiple Networks which means you can talk to members across Networks.
A Channel is for long-term conversations around a specific topic between a number of people inside a Network. It is owned by a Network, and that Network’s members can be in the Channel. It means that you can have conversations between members who share a common Network, but split out different topics so they reach the people they’re of interest to. As a Network user this means you can be heavily involved in the Network and having plenty of conversations on a range of topics covered by a variety of Channels, without being involved in every single discussion – just the ones that are relevant to you.
On Channels, you can also add a website link, a Location, manage join requests, and populate the Channel by inviting all members of a particular Network to join. A Channel can have automatic acceptance by email domain, custom welcome/rejection messages, and Named Locations.
You can shape the feel and experience of a Channel by adding Community Guidelines. For some Quests, a Channel can be used as a mechanism to filter search results.

I’ve previously sent messages to someone on Kalido but now I can’t. Why not?
